Bachelor Nation was stunned to learn this past weekend that the upcoming 2025 season of The Bachelorette has been put on pause. Usually, the new season begins filming within a week after The Bachelor finale airs. Now, the ladies on Grant Ellis’ season are no doubt disappointed to know that nobody from their season will get their shot at being The Bachelorette, at least for now. What nobody knows is exactly why ABC put production of it on hold. However, one Bachelor alum thinks he knows some reasons behind the sudden pause. What did they share? Keep reading to find out more.
Bachelor Alum Shares Thoughts On Bachelorette Pause
Nobody seems to know for sure why The Bachelorette is skipping a season. The news was announced on Friday night. Although it was shared the upcoming season is not happening, fans were assured it’s not being canceled forever.
Many have their own thoughts and opinions about why the pause is happening. One Bachelor alum is also speculating about the reasons behind the shocking decision.
US Weekly spoke with Jordan Kimball and learned he is not shocked at all that the pause is happening. He doesn’t know for a fact the reasoning behind the pause but he has his own thoughts on it all. He said, “I know that they did a production change. From what I’m hearing from folks that have been on more recently, obviously, Bachelor in Paradise was skipped last summer. It sounds like they’ve tried to make this more mainstream.”
He thinks making it mainstream is more difficult because the lead is dating multiple people. He continued to share his opinion by saying, “I think that it’s not coming back because they may be having a hard time casting. That would be my guess.”
Jordan also questioned if there are new vetting and production plans in progress. New vetting processes would stem from learning that winner Devin Strader actually had a restraining order against him in the past.
Does The Pause Have To Do With Production Changes?
Bachelor alum Jordan Kimball also shared that he has heard there are production changes being made. He was sure to note that while he was on the show the producers he dealt with were great. So, if they are making production changes he hopes they are able to hit the mark.
Jordan also noted how incredibly thankful he was to have been on the show. He said it changed his life.
He moved on and met and married the love of his life. They are currently expecting their second child together.
