Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe is reflecting on marriage after having two failed engagements. She appeared on a podcast this week where she opened up about whether or not marriage is still in the cards for her. What did she say? Keep reading to get all the details.
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe Talks Marriage After Broken Engagements
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe reflects on the possibility of her getting married after already having two broken engagements. She appeared on Jennie Garth’s podcast, I Choose Me this week and talked about it.
Kaitlyn used to always talk about wanting to get married and have children. Has her feelings about it all changed since breaking up with Shawn Booth and Jason Tartick? She spoke with Jennie about it and said that she still believes in marriage even though her last two relationships ended in heartbreak.
Bristowe said, “I love love. I really do. I’m a sucker for it. I really am a sucker for it. I do like the idea of marriage. I do like the idea of having a family, but I don’t know if anything’s changed.”
The former Bachelorette also shared that as she leaves her 30’s behind this year she wants to be more soft. Her friends always tell her she’s an undercover softie because sometimes she has a hard exterior and tries to act tough.
She went on to say, “I really am [a softie] deep down. And I just think I’ve always… had the same beliefs and thoughts and ideas of what love is. It’s just I think I’ve maybe gotten more secure in my own self so I can talk about it differently now.”
Garth asked Kaitlyn how she could even choose love again after so much heartbreak. Bristowe said she doesn’t really know how but she just does.
While she thinks she should really be more confident now going into relationships she said she’s more confident in herself and less confident and more insecure about love. She went on to say that it’s okay because that’s just where she’s at right now.
Is She Dating?
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe also shared that she is consistently dating someone and that’s really all the public knows. She wants to keep her current relationship sacred for now. At times she feels bad about that because she has always been an open book for her followers. However, this is just something she feels she needs to do right now.
As far as non-negotiable things in a relationship, Kaitlyn shared she really doesn’t want to be with someone who has a podcast. She can bend on it but she feels the podcast thing is something that caused problems in her last relationship. Of course, she’s talking about Jason Tartick.
Jason has gone on to have a very successful podcast called Trading Secrets. He also just adopted a dog to help fill the void of losing Pinot and Ramen whom he shared with Kaitlyn.
