Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko are one Bachelorette couple that fans think have staying power. Following their 2023 engagement, the couple revealed plans to marry as soon as possible. Bachelorette Couple Pauses Wedding Planning
By the end of her Bachelorette season, Charity Lawson knew she’d found her husband. Despite her affection for Joey Graziadei, her heart was with Dotun Olubeko. Dotun proposed during the season finale. The couple immediately jumped into wedding planning.
But after multiple setbacks, Charity and Dotun decided to put their wedding on pause. To complicate matters, the couple wants to have two weddings, one traditional wedding and a second one to honor Dotun’s heritage.
Us Weekly recently caught up with the couple on the red carpet for the New York Beauty Awards. Charity addressed putting too much pressure on wedding planning too soon. “We hopped into it super fast and it was go go go, but then we realized we don’t have to go super heavy,” she said.
The couple took a “breather” from wedding planning and it changed everything. “Now that we’re back into it. It’s been really enjoyable just really picking out those intimate details,” the Dancing With The Stars alum said. “I think us slowing down has helped us appreciate it a lot more,” she added.
Charity Lawson Reveals What’s Delaying Wedding
Despite getting back into planning their wedding, there’s still a huge issue in the way. It’s something that many brides can relate to: the guest list. According to Charity Lawson, the couple is having a hard time narrowing down who they should invite to the wedding.
“There’s been so many people that have just played a pivotal role in our love story, and we want everyone there but again it’s like, we also do want a really intimate ceremony,” she said.
