She passed away from cancer leaving Michael and their young son to continue life’s journey without her. Now, he went to social media to share another tragic loss for their family. Michael Allio Has Had A Hard Few Years
Bachelor in Paradise alum Michael Allio went to social media to share a tragic loss with his fans. Michael and his young son James have been through a nightmare when he lost his wife and James lost his mother to cancer.
He took time to grieve but knew he needed to move on. He began to search for love again and this landed him on The Bachelorette with Katie Thurston. He had a great connection with Katie but he felt bad being away from his son and he self-elminated.
He then took some time off and he then went on Bachelor in Paradise where he met and fell in love with Danielle Maltby. That did not work out and he ended things with her.
Following their split he flew under the radar and kept his dating life rather private. It was around the holidays of 2024 that Michael revealed the new love in his life. He has been with Jade for quite some time. Plus, he knew her and they were friends long before they began their romance.
Along the way, Michael and Jade brought a pug puppy named Doug into their lives. James had begged for a dog and his dad finally caved. They fell in love with Doug and fans fell for him too asking Michael to share photos of their furry family member.
Michael Shares Sudden, Tragic Loss
On Thursday, Michael went to Instagram to share that sweet Doug the pug had tragically passed away. He shared two precious photos of Doug and said,
On Tuesday, Doug tragically passed away. Our family is heart broken and I’m at a loss for words right now. He was such a good boy. My heart aches for my son and I wish I could take all of his pain away. He loved this dog so much… we all did.
Rest in Peace Doug. We’ll never forget you

On Friday he shared an Instagram Story that thanked fans for their support and messages. He said he’s grateful for them all and it helped them get through a very tough week. He also said that those who have questions will get them answered when he’s ready to talk about it. They are currently still trying to process what happened to Doug.
