Will This Former Bachelor Winner Take On Role Of The Bachelorette?
There has been a lot of talk lately about the future of The Bachelorette franchise. It was announced during Grant Ellis’ season of The Bachelor that the highly anticipated Bachelorette was being put on pause.
Host Jesse Palmer said in previous interviews that it is not being canceled. It is being viewed as more of a reset.
Since the announcement broke, there has been a lot of speculation about who could have been possibly taking on that role. Some have said they had already heard a lead had been picked. In fact, it was even discussed that the new lead would be someone from a past season and not someone fresh off of Grant’s season.
With all the talk of a new Bachelorette, many have wondered which alums from past seasons could be in the running. One particular lady just recently ended her relationship with The Bachelor. Of course, fans are talking about Rachael Kirkconnell.
Rachael spoke with the New York Post recently about the possibility of her agreeing to be The Bachelorette. She said,
“Never say never, but I think right now, when I think about that, I would really have to consider if that would be the right move for me. Because I am looking for my person, and I am excited to date whenever that day comes — when I’m ready for it.”
While Rachael is not completely ruling it out, she did say it would be rough to be back in that environment. Kirkconnell said,
“The idea of it being in that environment and having only a small group of men to date and to see if they’re my person and I’m theirs, it’s just a tough thing.”
Would She Return To Any Form Of Reality Television?
Bachelor alum Rachael Kirkconnell went on to talk about the possibility of being The Bachelorette. She recognized that obviously, the process does work. She was with Matt James for four years before they called things off.
Rachael also shared that many happy couples she knows would not have met if it wasn’t for the show. However, if she were to consider taking on the leading role, she knows it would be a lot of discussion and contemplating about whether or not it would be right for her.
With that said, she isn’t ruling out a return to other forms of reality television. She said, “I would love to do reality TV, depending on what it is. I’m big on game shows. I’m big on competition shows. I’m big on HGTV and Food Network and fun things like that.”
But, when it comes to dating shows, it would take a lot of thinking for her. She said it would be scary to return to that sort of show.
